Impact

Our Impact team runs science, coding and robotics programmes in schools, teaches digital skills to young people, and helps community groups such as SACCOs move from paper records to simple digital tools. We plan each programme with you, run it, and report on the results.

Four services

STEM programmes for schools, digital skills for young people, and simple tools for community groups.

  1. 03.1

    STEM programme design & delivery

Hands-on science, coding and robotics programmes for schools and learning centres. We bring the curriculum, the kits and the facilitators, and train your teachers to carry it on.

    • Curriculum matched to learners' age and level
    • Coding, electronics and robotics kits
    • Teacher and facilitator training
    • Showcases, competitions and progress reports
  2. 03.2

    Youth empowerment programmes

Practical digital skills courses, mentoring and real project experience for young people who are starting their careers.

    • Digital and coding skills bootcamps
    • Mentorship from working technologists
    • Supervised real-world projects
    • Career and freelance readiness
  3. 03.3

    Community upliftment initiatives

Technology projects planned with communities, such as internet access points, information services and tools that solve problems the community has identified.

    • Community needs assessments
    • Digital access points and device programmes
    • Local-language information tools
    • Partnerships with NGOs and local leaders
  4. 03.4

    Grassroots digital transformation

Helping SACCOs, cooperatives, small businesses and community groups move from paper ledgers to simple, affordable digital tools they can keep running.

    • Paper-to-digital record keeping
    • Mobile money and simple bookkeeping setups
    • Training in local languages
    • Follow-up support after rollout

Who this is for

  • You run a school and want a STEM programme that runs all year, not a one-day event.
  • You're an NGO or funder looking for a partner to deliver a technology programme.
  • You lead a SACCO, cooperative or community group that still keeps records on paper.
  • Your company wants a CSR programme with results you can report on.

How Impact works

  1. 1

    Understand

We learn about the school, group or community: who they are, what they need and what has been tried before.

  2. 2

    Design with partners

We plan the programme together with teachers, community leaders and funders.

  3. 3

    Deliver & train

We run the programme and train local people so they can keep it going.

  4. 4

    Measure

We agree on a few simple measures at the start and report on them regularly.

  5. 5

    Hand over or scale

When it's ready, the community takes it over, or we expand it to more places.

Questions about Impact

Can't find your answer here? Send us a message and someone from our team will reply.

Ask us a question
Do you work with schools outside Kampala?

We can. Location affects logistics and cost, and we plan both into the proposal.

Do learners need computers already?

No. Many STEM activities start with kits that don't need a computer at all. Where devices are needed, our Equipment Division can supply them.

Can we fund a programme as part of our CSR?

Yes. We design programmes around your budget and reporting needs, with clear updates on reach and results.

How do you measure impact?

At the start we agree a few simple measures, such as attendance, skills learned, projects completed and whether tools are still in use months later. We report on them during and after the programme.
